The Booq Guide: free answers about Booq on every page

Somewhere in the middle of a project, a question comes up: which option puts the subtitles on the video itself, how a charge is settled, where your finished files are kept. The Booq Guide is there for exactly those moments. It is a free help assistant that answers questions about using Booq, on almost every page of the site and the app.

This post explains what the Booq Guide can and cannot do, how its daily allowance works, what happens to the questions you ask, and when you are better off writing to support.

Where to find the Booq Guide

Look for the “?” button at the bottom corner of the page: one tap opens the Booq Guide. The Help entry in the menu and in the footer opens it too. It is part of the website, the installed web app and Booq's apps, so it is there wherever you use Booq.

On a phone it opens as a sheet from the bottom of the screen, and the Back button closes it. On a larger screen it opens as a card beside the page, so you can keep reading or filling in a form while you ask. While you scroll down on a phone, the button slides out of the way and comes back when you stop.

It steps aside in a few places: on Booq Chat, which is a chat of its own, while a payment returns from the bank, and on a few full-screen pages such as the course player.

What you can ask

The Booq Guide answers from Booq's own public help content: the descriptions of the services, the help guides inside the app and the public price list. Ask it, for example, about:

  • What each service does, and which one fits the job you have in mind.
  • How to create each kind of project, step by step.
  • How prices and billing work, and what a service costs today.
  • The wallet, top-ups and discount codes.
  • Signing in, languages, the apps, the library, sharing and the Showcase.

An answer can carry links to the right page, and even to the exact part of a help guide inside the app; one tap takes you there. Under an answer, “Read more” lists the help pages it was based on. When you open the Booq Guide on a page, it also suggests questions that suit that page.

An answer can link to the right page or to the exact part of a guide, and “Read more” shows the help pages it came from.

What it cannot see or do

The Booq Guide knows only public facts. It cannot see your account, projects, balance, payments or files, and it cannot change anything or start a project for you. That is deliberate: a help assistant that answers everyone should not be able to read anyone's data.

When it quotes a price, it takes it from the same public price list that the pricing page shows, at the moment you ask. Even so, an assistant can be wrong. The estimate on the project form and the pricing page always come first; if they disagree with an answer, trust them.

Free, with a daily allowance

Asking costs nothing and never touches your wallet. To keep the Booq Guide fast and fair for everyone, each person has a daily allowance of questions. It is larger when you are signed in than when you visit without an account, and it renews every day. Booq's team sets these limits and can adjust them, so this post does not quote them; when only a few questions are left for the day, the Booq Guide shows how many remain.

  • Without an account: when today's questions are used up, sign up or sign in to keep asking.
  • Signed in: when they are used up, the Booq Guide tells you when you can ask again.
  • Many visitors on one network: if a shared connection reaches its daily total, signing in lets you carry on.

What happens to your questions

Questions you ask the Booq Guide are kept for up to 90 days to improve answers. They are stored under a one-way coded identifier, never your name or phone number. Personal numbers and e-mails are removed. When you rate an answer with the thumbs up or down buttons, and say what was wrong, you help Booq's team find and fix weak answers.

The conversation itself stays in your browser tab: it survives moving between pages or a reload, and a new tab starts clean. From the Booq Guide's menu you can start a “New conversation” at any time, or “Hide the button for this session”; Help in the menu or the footer brings it back.

When to write to support

Anything about your own account or a particular project belongs with a person: a payment you cannot find, a project that stopped, a refund you expected, or a change to your account. The Booq Guide cannot look these up, so it points you to support instead, and when an answer did not help, it offers a direct link.

If you are signed in, send a ticket from the support page. Without an account, use the contact page.

Persian, English and Arabic

Ask in Persian, English or Arabic, and the Booq Guide answers in the language you wrote in. What it knows is written in all three languages, not translated on the fly. Links in an answer open the page in the language you are reading.

What the Booq Guide does not do

  • It does not see or change your account, wallet, projects or files.
  • It does not create, run or cancel projects, and it never charges your wallet.
  • It does not replace the estimate on the project form: that figure is what your job is held against.
  • It does not open outside websites; it links only to pages of Booq.
  • It does not take on general tasks unrelated to Booq, such as writing texts or homework.
  • It does not talk about how Booq is built or which technology runs behind a service.

Help also lives inside the app itself: every tool has its own guide, described in the post about in-app guides. New to Booq? Start with the getting-started guide, and see what each service costs on the pricing page.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Booq Guide cost anything?

No. Asking is free and never touches your wallet. There is only a daily allowance of questions, which is larger when you are signed in.

Can it see my projects or my balance?

No. It knows only Booq's public help content and the public price list. For anything about your own account or projects, write to support.

Are my questions stored?

Questions you ask the Booq Guide are kept for up to 90 days to improve answers. They are stored under a one-way coded identifier, never your name or phone number. Personal numbers and e-mails are removed.

Which languages does it answer in?

Persian, English and Arabic. It answers in the language you write in.

What if an answer is wrong?

Rate it with the thumbs-down button and say what was wrong; Booq's team reviews this feedback to improve the answers. The estimate on the project form and the pricing page always take priority over an answer.

Is it the same as Booq Chat?

No. The Booq Guide only answers questions about using Booq, and it is free. Booq Chat, where it is available on your account, is a separate paid chat for your own work, and the Booq Guide steps aside on its page.
